Tell us about your fitness background.
I’ve been active and involved in sports my whole life. After college, I got more into lifting and high intensity workouts. I also love to run. I’ve run two full marathons and one half. Currently, I’ve put running on the back burner and been focusing on resistance training and high intensity interval training. I’ve always enjoyed creating different workouts and pushing myself. So, a few years ago I decided to spread the love and get my PT certification in hopes of instilling my passion for fitness to my clients.
What can riders expect from your class – what is your motivational style?
It doesn’t matter if you are the fastest or the slowest, the strongest or the weakest, I expect my clients to put forth their own personal best. I encourage my clients to remember their “why” and use that to motivate them. Each rep, each set, each class should be an improvement from the last. When they leave my class, they should feel better than when they walked in.
What are your great loves?
Family, my dog, ice cream, macaroni and cheese, New York Yankees. Buffalo Bills, the lake
What’s the strangest thing in your gym bag?
I’m afraid my gym bag is pretty normal! There’s ALWAYS a snack in it though, never leave home without food!
If you could spend a week anywhere, where would it be, and why?
My family cottage on Canandaigua Lake. It’s removed from civilization. Cell service is limited, internet is non-existent and we don’t even have a TV. It’s all about relaxation, sun and water! Oh, good food and wine, too!!
What kind of music do you play in your classes?
I love old-school rap/hip-hop, but don’t worry I’m not completely stuck in high school, you’ll hear modern hits too.
