"I've been a rider at Ascend Cycle/Swet Ride since the first day they opened their doors and I can honestly say I feel at home in the studio. There is a sense of community here that I've never found in any other fitness experience. The instructors are enthusiastic and personable—they know your name, they talk to you before and after class, and they are genuinely committed to making your experience stellar.
The sense of community also comes from the boutique style and sizes of the classes. I love that I don't get lost in the experience. Riders genuinely have a chance to meet each other, laugh, and bond! It keeps me honest and I love seeing my workout friends in class!
The studio is clean, the bikes are very smooth, and I love that I can borrow spin shoes if I need to. Kat and her team are always finding ways to include fun events and activities in-house, and I love that they participate in our larger community events.

"I am a fitness studio junkie. I don’t work out at large box gyms, because I find them sterile, crowded, and not worth the investment. Fitness studios on the other hand are right up my alley. I've belonged to many over the years, and now there are studios popping up for every type of fitness activity. Its hard to choose. That being said, Ascend Cycle has set a new bar for all of the other fitness studios that I have attended. The Ascend Cycle studio is easy to get to (Del Ray with a parking lot directly behind it—and parking is free if you get your ticket validated). The class schedule is robust, with many variations of workouts, not just spin, but it’s the “boutique” quality that makes this studio worth every penny.
They take customer service seriously. If you are a beginner, don't be scared just let them know. They will fit you for "loaner" bike shoes, set you up on a bike, and create a profile for you. The customer service is like nothing I've ever seen at a studio, it is exceptional. If you are a regular client they ask you, regularly, for feedback and recommendations for improvements, and then they IMPLEMENT THEM. It makes you feel like this is your studio too, and that means a lot when you are making an investment in yourself.
My personal favorites for instructors are M.B (her classes are like dance parties...seriously), and Kat. Kat's technique is one of the best I've ever seen, and with her, I get better with each class. M.B. also has excellent technique, and her class is challenging, but so fun, you don't realize how hard you are working. M.B. inspires me to leave nothing behind and push myself to my limit. I love her and her playlists! The Tyler does an amazing job teaching the Ascend Body classes. This full body workout makes you use all of your muscles and includes; weight training, a little cycle, and body weight exercises. It’s a perfect addition that allows you to have a well-balanced fitness routine at one studio.

"An hour at Ascend Cycle is the quickest hour of exercise. Each class is challenging and motivating and just when you think you can't do more, the instructors lead you to push through. Everyone at the studio truly cares. Kat and the instructors care about the clients' well being. They always work to bring out the best in each person.
The studio offers a variety of classes and times. The bikes have computers to keep track of your work and at the end of the class an email is sent with results.
The instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable. They are always willing to help and answer questions. As a new rider, I felt intimidated to try something different. They helped me through it and taught me what I needed to know to get started. Now, I can't imagine not riding. The instructors and other clients feel like family.
The studio is a great addition to the community. They often have sessions to benefit a local charity or organization.

Love this place! Even if you have never been on an indoor cycling bike before, take a class from Ascend Cycle! You won't regret it! My first class was with MB. I was hooked! Have now been going to Ascend Cycle (formally Swet Ride) regularly since April 2015.
The studio is super convenient and offers parking validation for the parking lot located behind the building. They also offer cycling shoes, towels and some cold minty towels at the end of each class! The new bikes are awesome: easy to adjust and a very smooth ride. Bikes display resistance, speed, calories burned and power output so you can see how much butt you’re actually kicking during class.
Ascend Cycle classes are as welcoming to beginners as they are challenging to athletes. Ascend 50, a 50-minute ride combining both sprints and climbs, is a great workout. I don’t think I’ve ever sweat so much in my life! The studio also offers Ascend Body, a combined strength and core training and cardio class that pushes you to your limit. I love that Ascend Cycle offers this so that I don’t have to go to another studio or gym to get a full body workout.
The instructors!!! I can’t say enough about how much they’ve helped me in my journey to get fit and fab! They are the best! For Ascend 50 classes, my personal fave instructors are Kat Z, MB and Kate. Their classes are tough, well-planned, with just the right amounts of sprints and hills to challenge you, loud and so much fun! They help motivate and guide you throughout the entire class, which is what I need when I’m feeling the burn and ready to quit. For Ascend Body classes, I take Kat Z, Tyler and Jessica’s classes. Their classes are so hard but so worth the pain.

Ascend Cycle is a community of positivity, encouragement and constant improvement. The trainers and techs are all friendly and welcoming to the studio. They take the time to make sure you feel comfortable with the bike setup and movements prior to class starting. The training methodology is simple to understand. The ride is made to be all about you. The instructor guides you with motivation and awesome beats through the 50 minutes sweat session. With each ride you can test your own limits and push harder to keep improving. I’ve been riding with Ascend for almost two years and I still find every class to be both challenging and rewarding. Some days it’s the only 50 minutes I have for myself and I would rather spend those minutes here than anywhere else!
